ListMyDay

User guides: learn the app, not the server

ListMyDay has two ways to use the same iPhone/iPad app. A Caregiver enters and manages information. A Care receiver sees a simple daily board and can mark permitted tasks Done.

I manage the schedule

Use the Caregiver guide to learn exactly how to enter information and share it.

  1. Choose the right type of item.
  2. Enter its title, instructions, date and repeat schedule.
  3. Save a draft or publish it.
  4. Pair a display and adjust what it shows.

I look at my daily board

Use the Care receiver guide to understand TODAY, TOMORROW and PAST DUE.

  1. Connect to a caregiver's household.
  2. Read appointments, visits and reminders.
  3. Mark a task Done on the correct date.
  4. Make the text larger or ask for help.

What can the caregiver enter?

For ordinary entries choose Caregiver → Tasks → Add item → Type. For birthdays, choose the separate Birthdays tab and tap Add birthday. Both paths use the same supported item types:

TypeExampleUse
AppointmentVideo appointment at 2:00 PMA scheduled event with a time and optional alert
To doWater the plants every MondayA task that can be marked Done on its scheduled day
VisitAlex visits SaturdayA visitor or other planned visit
ImportantTrash pickup is ThursdayInformation worth knowing
BirthdayTaylor's birthday on July 16A personal date that repeats automatically every year
My dayA quiet day at homeA short note describing the day

Other repeat choices include Does not repeat, Every day, Every week, Every month, and Every year. Drafts are private to the caregiver device until published.

Birthdays: enter once, show every year

Choose Caregiver → Birthdays → Add birthday. Enter the person's name, optional note and birthday date, then tap Publish to board. Birthdays appear in a separate caregiver list sorted by month and day, not in the Tasks list. They recur every year; February 29 birthdays appear on February 28 in non-leap years. On the receiver, all birthdays for TODAY or TOMORROW appear in their own Birthdays today or Birthdays tomorrow group, without displacing appointments or tasks. The first three names show initially; choose Show more birthdays to see the rest. No Done button or appointment notification. Learn how to manage many birthdays.

Holidays without extra reminders

For common US holidays, the board says Today is Christmas Day beneath the date and clock. When enabled, TOMORROW says Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, even with no tasks scheduled. Holidays follow the household time zone and do not take task slots, need completion, or send alerts. The caregiver can turn them off, choose all federal holidays, or show observed weekdays in Display settings.

Two-minute caregiver quick start

  1. Open ListMyDay on your caregiver device.
  2. Scroll to Tasks & reminders and tap Add item.
  3. Pick a type, enter a short title and choose the date. For a repeating task, use the Repeat picker. To enter a birthday instead, switch to Birthdays → Add birthday and enter the birthday date.
  4. Tap Publish to board rather than Save draft.
  5. Wait for the approved receiver to sync, then check its TODAY or TOMORROW section.

Care receiver quick start

  1. Open ListMyDay and choose Set up as care receiver if this is a new device.
  2. Enter the short pairing code from your caregiver, show them the separate six-digit verification code, and wait for approval.
  3. Read TODAY. When you really finish a To do task, tap Done today. Family birthdays are grouped separately from tasks.
  4. Read TOMORROW for an early look. There is no Done button there.

See full receiver setup and daily-use instructions.

The receiver keeps the date and clock together in a clear header. If weather is enabled, it appears in a separate full-width panel rather than squeezing the clock. Learn about weather and alerts.

Need help? If you cannot see your caregiver's changes, first check whether they used Publish to board and whether your display is online and approved. Do not reset the household or delete the app to fix a missing item. Contact support if you remain stuck.
